Trusting the Lord for What Lies Ahead

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.” 1 Corinthians 3:6

We are grateful for every opportunity the Lord gives us to share the Gospel here in Georgia. It is a joy and a privilege to witness His work, and we would like to share an update on what the Lord is doing and what lies ahead for our family and the ministry.

Children’s Clubs – Teaching the Next Generation

Since September, we are running four children’s clubs every week in different regions: Djavari, Sovxoze, Zugdidi, and Shkvareli.

Each week we gather with the children and walk through the “Future Club” curriculum, which helps introduce them to the Bible in a simple and clear way. Every lesson includes a passage and a memory verse, and the topics help the children understand foundational truths about God.

We are teaching them:

  • What is the Word of God
  • What is prayer
  • Who is God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  • What it means to confess sin
  • How sin entered the world

Through Bible stories, the children are beginning to see the character of God. And even though the lessons are simple, each one ultimately points to Jesus and the Gospel.

Women’s Gatherings – Seeds Being Planted

We are also continuing to host women’s gatherings once or twice a month, especially around holidays when more women are able to come.

Typically, about 16–20 women attend, and most of them are unbelievers.

Our desire at every gathering is to clearly share the Gospel and point them to Christ. While we have not yet seen clear fruit of repentance or faith, we are encouraged that the women continue to come, sit, and listen.

These evenings are warm and welcoming. We often include:

  • Crafts
  • Tea and fellowship
  • Time for conversation

But most importantly, we dedicate about forty minutes to sharing the Gospel clearly. The women listen attentively, and that alone is a great encouragement to us.

Many of the children who attend the clubs come from these same families, which helps us stay connected with the mothers as well.

Growing Ministry in a Nearby Region

Another ministry continues to grow in a nearby region. Every other Saturday, David and Ia travel there to meet with a group of about 15–20 people.

Some have already been baptized, and the group is studying Scripture together. They have been going through the book of James and are now studying Colossians.

It is a great blessing to see Ia serving so faithfully. Since her baptism two years ago, she has grown in her faith and now serves with joy and commitment, helping others grow as well.

Church Construction Update

The construction of the church building has begun moving forward again. For some time, progress slowed due to the difficulty of finding skilled workers who could commit to the project. Recently, however, the Lord provided in an unexpected way.

A group of seven men from Russia arrived to help with construction. Their current focus is working on the interior walls of the building and accomplishing as much as possible during their time here. We are thankful to see how the Lord continues to provide and move this project forward.

Trusting the Lord

Ministry brings both great joy and deep sorrow. Yet through it all, we are reminded that it is the Lord who builds His church.

By God’s grace:

  • The Gospel continues to be preached
  • Seeds are being planted
  • People are hearing the truth of God’s Word

We trust that in His perfect time, the Lord will bring the fruit.

Thank you for praying for the ministry here and for standing with us in this work. Your prayers and support are a great encouragement to us.
